Brewery Legitimus is a craft brewery located in New Hartford, CT directly across from the Farmington River. We are committed to brewing craft beer of the highest quality and providing a warm, space for beer enthusiasts and friends to gather. Chris and Christina Sayer, owners and founders of Brewery Legitimus, have a strong passion for craft beer. In 2016, after years of planning they opened the doors to their independent craft brewery and ever since they have sought to make it a destination for craft beer enthusiasts, newbies and anyone in between. We are proud to be independent, local, and family owned.

Our Space

Our brewery and taproom is approximately 8500 square feet of space in the former Waring factory building on Main Street. Here we have built a warm and inviting community taproom, an airy beer garden and a large space for private events and gatherings.

Beer Offerings

Our beers are lovingly crafted and cared for to ensure the best quality and flavor. We are constantly testing new recipes to keep all palates wanting more. We offer our guests the opportunity to purchase our beer for consumption in our taproom. We serve both full glasses and flights (four 6oz samples). Guests may purchase beer to-go as well. We offer most of our beers in 16oz 4-packs and some specialty releases in 32oz Crowlers™. Our taplist changes daily and can be found here.

Visiting Our Brewery

Our taproom and beer garden hours are can be found to the right. For the most part you can purchase beer to-go during these hours as well, with the exception of Sundays when we must end sales at 6pm per State law. Please note, last call is 20 minutes prior to the listed closing time.

Tables are first come, first served and we do not take reservations. If you are visiting with a party of 10 or greater please give us a call to let us know so that we can plan our staffing accordingly. If you are planning an event of 20+ people please submit a private event inquiry here.

We are family friendly, however we do ask that for the enjoyment of all of our guests that children be monitored closely by their guardians. We are happy to welcome four legged friends outside in our open air beer garden. Pets are not allowed in our taproom with the exception of service animals.

We partner with the best CT food trucks to provide our customers dining options. You are also welcome to bring in takeout or food from home. When we don’t have a food truck we have a small plates menu of our own. To see which food truck is visiting please check our events schedule here.
